David Martin was born in 1976 in Coventry City in the heart of England, a stone's throw away from the famously picturesque Cotswolds region. He started Queen's English school in 2001 and has been the owner and principal teacher since that time. Queen's English is a small business with big ambitions.
David graduated from Kingston University in London with an honours degree in Business Information Technology. After graduating, he worked at News International as a production manager for the online edition of the News of the World newspaper. News International publishes many newspaper titles around the world; including the The Times and The Sun in the United Kingdom. David thoroughly enjoyed working in the media but decided to pursue new challenges overseas. As a result of working in a business/media environment he has an excellent grasp of formal business English and etiquette.
David's teaching philosophy is that students must have a desire to learn. This desire may be present from a young age, but can also manifest itself as someone grows older - 'enthusiasm drives personal growth.' David loves helping ignite a person's desire to absorb a new language, but he maintains that the student is the most important person in the classroom.
Aside from spending time with his family, his hobbies include: snowboarding, playing guitar, reading, swimming and photography.
