Children's group classes have between 3 to 6 members and last for approximately 60 minutes. Kids classes apply up until a students 16th birthday. Students that are 16 and over are eligible for the longer adult group classes.
For elementary school children we use either the Finding Out or Let's Go series. Junior high school children and above are introduced to the beginning and elementary texts from the New Headway series. These books provide a greater challenge and assume the student has already acquired basic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Students are encouraged to use classroom English as much are possible to facilitate faster learning. If a lesson is conducted correctly there is very little, if any need to use a student's native language. Nevertheless, we do not admonish pupils if they initially feel comfortable staying in their mother tongue.
